Nanamocomuck ski trail, and Wachusett

In December, when it was still winter, Rosie and Sammy and Pat skied some of the Nanamocomuck trail off the Skank'.

Chocorua and the Three Sisters in the distance across a marsh.

First we skied on a forest service road, then on a narrow trail with some terrain, then popped out on a rod-straight railroad bed from the logging era.

A tree which fell.

Next day we skied some of the trails around Dolly Copp, below the Great Gulf Wilderness. It was all crust, no dust.

In January, just before the thaw, we skied up, down, and around Wachusett.
Warning! Camera!

Something interesting: We happened to be in the plane defined by the sun and a jet contrail, and this made it possible to actually see the shadow cast by the contrail, at bottom right.

Clear view of Monadnock N and W, beyond the Wachusett ski lifts.

We made a side excursion down to Balance Rock.
