Skiing in March

On Pi day, Greg, Coz, Raphael, and I skied Cardigan.

The trappings of a classic NH powder day: rain clouds, granite and water ice.

Needless to say, anticipation was high...

As you can tell by the pow billowing off Greg's skis, the snow was as fantastic as we had hoped for. Bring a snorkel!

Here is a first-person perspective on what it's like to shred the gnar with this crew:

Think you have what it takes?

The next weekend, we skied some skiing on another mountain.
Somehow I mis-zeroed the white balance.

This is probably as much snow as this run ever gets, but still significantly less than we would have wanted. Nevertheless, we got down.

And we were surprised to find an excellent exit run out the streambed.

Since we still hadn't had enough skiing for the day, we crossed the street and hammered out a couple thousand feet there as well.

This was a solid day, about 4100 feet of climbing and slightly more of descent, since we did a car shuttle.
