Next day: Great Gulf

The day after skiing the Gulf of Slides, Erik and I headed up to the Cog Base. The Cog was looking good so we headed up under warm weather and blue skies--a big relief as forecasts were calling for some chance of precip.

Jacob's Ladder--always a great spot to take a photo with bad white balance.

We cut over from the Cog a little too low and had to skin up around the rim to Airplane Gully.

Erik skiing.

Woohoo airborne.

What a dork--taking pictures of his own tracks.

Great Gulf, Spaulding Lake down in the center.

Erik punching over the top of the gully.

Oh hai!

The ski out was awesome--great coverage all the way.

Skied out all the way to the Hamster Car, with time left to enjoy the beer Erik buried in the snowbank. 2900 feet of descent.

Excellent day, and logged about 3900 feet total.
