Taylor Mountain

Yesterday we hiked Taylor Mountain. It was a very good hike for wildflowers. Taylor / Victor is a cool mountain, basically a huge rocky pyramid hanging out just west of the Pass. 8 miles and 3000 vertical.

 Columbine.

Our furry four-legged friend frolics in the flowers.

Rosie walking.

Look closely--it's a Sammy triple-threat!

Worth zooming in to see the joy in his form...

Rosie made a snow-angel. Wow, this is a hyphen-heavy post. And again!

Comin up top.

I was there too.

There are at least 3 bugs in this photo.

Native American paintbrush.

Went through a lot of aspens in the middle of the hike. Except they are basically one organism, or at least clones, sharing a single root system. So, aspen.

Does anyone know what this is? A parasite? It's like another plant tried to set up a new root system 7 feet up in another tree.
